D. K. Srivastava President, HR, HCL Corporation

Dilip Kumar Srivastava (or DK as he is fondly called) is the Head of HR, HCL Corporation & Shiv Nadar Foundation and is responsible for driving strategies around talent, culture and organizational effectiveness at HCL. Under his leadership, the HR function designs and implements programs to attract, develop, train, coach, empower and engage talent, and facilitate the building of a global,high-performance organization with lasting centers of excellence.

Of his career spanning 32 years, DK has been associated with HCL for over 18 years. Nestle, Tata and L&T are some of the other major organizations that he has worked with. At HCL, DK has been one of the key drivers of its transformation journey, which is now a Harvard Business School case study. DK is passionate about empowering every HCL employee to optimize his/her capabilities and performance, and build a dynamic, future-ready organization. He is the architect of several unique and innovative HR practices inspired by the “Employees First” philosophy and is the driving force behind several groundbreaking people practices in the area of coaching, training and skill development. He has been instrumental in transforming talent.

Saurav Adhikari President – Corporate Strategy, HCL, and Senior Advisor, Shiv Nadar Foundation

Saurav Adhikari is responsible for driving corporate strategy at HCL (www.hcl.com), a $6.6-bn global technology enterprise, as well as at the Shiv Nadar Foundation (www.ShivNadarFoundation.org). The Foundation is one of India’s largest philanthropic institutions focused on empowering individuals to bridge the socio-economic divide, through transformational education, creativity and art.

Saurav brings over 3 decades of global strategic business insight to the role, from his diverse experience with leading global firms like Unilever, Pepsi and Group SEB, in markets across North America, EMEA, APAC and India. His responsibilities include visioning and execution of HCL’s mid to long term business strategy, as well defining its corporate brand positioning and communication. In his 14 year career at HCL, Saurav has been responsible for incubating new businesses, building valuable relationships with consulting majors, private equity funds, investment banks, partners and customers, that have had significant revenue and profit impact for HCL.

More recently, Saurav has been helping conceptualize and build up the Foundation’s landmark institutions including developing partnerships with some of the world’s premier educational institutions/universities to catalyse the Foundation’s leadership development and social transformation initiatives.

Saurav was earlier President - North America for HCL BPO and was based in Stamford CT, USA from 2002-2005, after having joined HCL in January 2000 as the President of an enterprise networking startup company.

Saurav schooled at Mayo College, Ajmer in Rajasthan. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Hindu College, Delhi University, an MBA from JBIMS, Bombay University and an AMP from INSEAD Fontainebleau, France. Saurav has a passion for integrating strategic and creative thinking processes into delivering business impact. He enjoys writing, eclectic reading, traveling, sport, and fitness.

Pawan K. Danwar Executive Vice President and CFO, HCL Corporation

Post working 6 years with two big corporates in North India, Pawan joined HCL group in May 1996.

He is a finance professional and serves as the Executive Vice-President & CFO of HCL Corporation (holding company of HCL). He brings over 25 years of vast experience to HCL. His association with the HCL group spans over 20 years and he has served in several different finance profiles in the organization such as Business Finance, Corporate Restructuring, Acquisition & Business Integration, Treasury (fund raising, investment & forex management), Planning & Strategy, Commercial, Business Development, Secretarial, Legal & Corporate Compliance and investor relationship. He has structured and negotiated some big business contracts for HCL in the past decades. Pawan has not only been instrumental in shaping different financial strategies for HCL but he has also been associated with various new business initiatives and has credited with turning them into big scale ventures over the period. Out of 20 years with the HCL Group, he has spent 14 years in operating companies in various capacities including P&L responsibility.

He has deep understanding of various industries like IT; Healthcare; Education; Skill & Talent; Insurance; Chemical etc. Besides serving the businesses / operations; he is serving activity the Board of HCL Infosystems & HCL Healthcare besides various other committees of the Board.

He has ample exposure in the international business environment and has travelled extensively while executing various deals & discussions. Pawan is also associated with the Shiv Nadar Foundation & HCL Foundation, one of India’s largest private philanthropic institutions, for the last 5 years. He supports/serves the Foundations in various capacities and deeply connected with various social revolutionary projects in the field of education and rural development. He also liaisons with various government departments; institutions & bodies.

Pawan is a qualified Chartered Accountant & Company Secretary.

Rita Gupta Senior Vice President, Finance, HCL Corporation

Rita Gupta, is a finance professional with over 25 years of experience spanning the entire gamut of finance, including Business Finance, Controllership, Treasury, Risk Management, Strategic Initiatives. She has been associated with HCL for almost the whole of her professional career. Her contributions to developing the existing and new businesses of HCL have been invaluable. She has held several positions in the finance function and is involved in various functions, including financial planning, fund raising, investment management, Forex, business finance. Apart from HCL, Rita has also worked for several Shiv Nadar Foundation Initiatives, handling the initial phase of investment planning and strategy. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Law Graduate and has attended various programs for Quality, Treasury and Finance She enjoys traveling and swimming.

Neelesh Agarwal Senior Vice President, Finance, HCL Corporation

Neelesh Agarwal is Senior Vice President at HCL (www.hcl.com), a $6.5-billion global technology enterprise. Neelesh is also Senior Financial Advisor with the Shiv Nadar Foundation, one of India’s largest private philanthropic institutions. Neelesh has been associated with HCL for over 20 years, since he joined the organization in 1993. He is responsible for handling all taxation and finance related details for both HCL and the educational initiatives of the Shiv Nadar Foundation.Neelesh’s contribution in shaping the financial strategy of HCL is undeniable. For the past decade he has worked closely with Shiv Nadar, Founder & Chairman - HCL, Shiv Nadar Foundation Neelesh hails from the state of Uttar Pradesh and after finishing his schooling from Meerut, he pursued his undergraduate studies from the Agra University. Later, he cleared his Chartered Accountancy exam from Delhi and practiced independently for 2 years before finally joining HCL as an Accounts Executive. His personal hobbies and interests include sports, listening to music, reading and engaging in other social activities.

Sundar Mahalingam Chief Strategy Officer

Sundar is the Chief Strategy Officer of HCL Corporation and the Shiv Nadar Foundation. He has been responsible for building the HCL brand over the last decade in its journey to becoming a $6.5 billion, 105,000 people strong enterprise.

He is a core member of the Shiv Nadar Foundation Team and has worked from inception on many of its diverse initiatives, including VidyaGyan, a leadership academy for the rural underprivileged students; the Shiv Nadar University, a comprehensive multi-disciplinary university with strong research orientation, and the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, India’s largest private philanthropic museum with the vision to take art to the common public.

His professional experience spans almost 25 years in various roles in technology marketing, advertising and strategy planning. Prior to joining HCL, he has led the strategic marketing and communication initiatives of various technology companies like Microsoft and Hexaware Technologies. He has worked with J. Walter Thompson in communication strategy development for many years.

Sundar earned his B. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, and a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Sundar is married with two children and resides in Noida. His interests include sports and fitness.
