Lucknow, India – February 3, 2016 — HCL, a leading global IT services company, today announced the commencement of its talent sourcing, training and hiring program in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Through this program, HCL will create 1000 local jobs for freshers. Candidates who get selected for this training program will be trained & skilled by HCL and post successful completion of the training will be deployed at the HCL IT City in Lucknow.
The creation of the HCL Delivery Center in Lucknow is in line with HCL‘s strategic vision to expand and create opportunities in smaller cities across India. This center will aim to have a gender equal workforce, with at least 50% of the local hires being women. The recruitment process will also focus on providing employment opportunities to those who are keen to pursue mainstream careers again.
HCL‘s foray in Lucknow is driven by the availability of quality local talent and scalable infrastructure. It will also provide local residents an opportunity to pursue careers right from their own towns. This in turn is also expected to ensure an enhanced quality of life for employees.
The HCL Delivery Center will be based out of the ‗IT City‘ at Chack Gajaria, Lucknow. HCL is developing the IT city project spread over an area of 100 acres. Conceptualized as a ‗Sustainable‖ IT City, the area is covered under special economic zone (SEZ) to boost IT investment. The site is easily accessible from the airport and other parts of the city through National Highway 56. The IT City is one of the ambitious plans of the state Government to develop Lucknow as the IT hub of the region and is expected to create thousands of job opportunities in the state.

Recruitment Criterion
HCL Lucknow will emphasise on hiring fresh engineering graduates who will undergo training in Lucknow to become job ready. Applications for the training program will be invited via a mass media campaign and candidates‘ selection will be subject to their profiles meeting specific eligibility and clearing assessments.
In the first year, HCL shall hire freshers for training program as per the following eligibility criteria:
(i) Has to be a local resident of Lucknow
(ii) Age and Gender – No bar
(iii) Qualification – B.E and B.Tech ( both IT and non IT background) and MCA
(iv) Freshers as well as candidates with 1-2 years of relevant IT or non IT experience
(v) Women / Housewives are encouraged to apply
